Australian Light Horse Memorial Park
Seymour, VIC, Australia
This interpretive art installation exemplifies the use of imagery and evocative words to convey complex historical stories - breaking away from traditional interpretive signage. The installations appear throughout the park, representing important chapters of the park’s history. Each key date becomes a canvas, as illustrations of a historical hut, soldiers and warhorses are cut into the layered numbers. As the sun moves through the park, the dates cast shadows on the ground, and more details in the laser-cut scenes are revealed.
